Sills + Co was honoured to be asked back for the second Make-A-Wish fashion show and luncheon, alongside Orsini Fine Jewellery, Scarpa, and Crane Brothers.
An unforgettable afternoon on the Ōrākei waterfront, presenting our Winter in Milan runway and fundraising for such a special charity.
The day was even more special as it was the 40th birthday of Make-A-Wish New Zealand! Four decades of turning children’s wishes into wonderful realities!

About The Event
Held on Friday the 15th May 2026, at the Akarana Marine Sports Centre, the Power of a Wish Fashion Show was an intimate salon-style fashion showcase presented over a luxurious lunch in support of Make-A-Wish New Zealand.
Make-A-Wish New Zealand grants Kiwi tamariki and rangatahi fighting critical illnesses their one true wish – bringing them hope, strength and joy. Since 1986, they have granted thousands of wishes with the support of partners, small businesses, and over 200 volunteers and generous donors.
Hosted by the talented and charming, Michael Murphy, the event raised over $60,000 to grant children's wishes!
The Runway
Inspired by Sarah Hutching’s (of Orsini Fine Jewellery) recent travel to Milan the show’s styling was based on the biggest trends in Italy this Winter.
A colour palette of cosy brown, deep burgundy, and winter whites were popular with the Milanese and coincidentally featured heavily in our own Autumn/Winter collection. We paired these colours with Pale Pink, for a very on-trend combination, and embraced chic tonal dressing with classic beige and double denim.
Accessorised with the most beautiful fine jewellery and leather shoes and handbags, both with Italian origins, the looks shone on the runway.
